Mostly from Xinjiang, the best known made from Turpan's seedless grapes, in green, red and black. Eaten by the handful, baked into cakes and biscuits, and added to Xinjiang pilaf with mutton and carrot.
Xinjiang (especially Turpan/吐鲁番) is China's raisin capital. The traditional drying houses called 荫房 (yīnfáng) use natural hot desert air to dry grapes.
