In 2018 a former intern writing as 弦子 (Zhou Xiaoxuan) accused him of groping her in his dressing room in 2014. He denied it and sued her for defamation; her own suit, one of China's most prominent #MeToo cases, was rejected for insufficient evidence in 2021 and on appeal in 2022.
