Tips

culture
晋 is the short name for 山西 (Shanxi province), after the ancient state of Jin that ruled the area. Shanxi is wheat country, known for noodles of many shapes, such as 刀削面 (knife-shaved noodles), and for 陈醋, its dark aged vinegar.
mistakes
Don't confuse 山西 (Shanxi, short name 晋) with its neighbour 陕西 (Shaanxi, short name 陕 or 秦). Only the tone differs, so English spells the second one Shaanxi to tell them apart.
