饭庄 mostly appears in the names of large old restaurants, such as 仿膳饭庄 in Beijing's Beihai Park. Everyday words are 饭店 (restaurant or hotel), 餐厅 (restaurant) and 饭馆 (eatery). 庄 was used for big shops and firms, as in 钱庄 (old-style private bank).
