Salt names run in the opposite order from English: 硫酸 'sulfuric acid' + 钠 'sodium' = sodium sulfate. Add 亚 'sub-' and it becomes 亚硫酸钠, sodium sulfite. Its crystal hydrate is the traditional medicine 芒硝, Glauber's salt.
