Tips

usage
Formal and written, used to open an unwelcome truth: 'no need to hide it'. 毋 means 'do not' and 庸 'need'; the variant spelling 无庸讳言 has the same reading and meaning. In speech, 说实话 'to be honest' does the same job.
memory
Don't confuse 毋 'do not' with 母 'mother': 毋 has one stroke running through it, while 母 has two dots inside.
