culture
In 《西游记》 he goes by 木叉, and in Chapter 6 he fights 孙悟空 for some fifty or sixty rounds until his arms go numb and he flees. 木叉 renders Sanskrit mokṣa 'liberation', 解脱 in Chinese.
mistakes
吒 in his name is read zhā, as in the names of his brothers 金吒 and 哪吒. Elsewhere the character is mostly a variant of 咤, as in 叱咤风云, 'so mighty a shout could stir the winds and clouds'.
