From 毛泽东 《七绝·为李进同志题所摄庐山仙人洞照》 (Mao Zedong, September 1961, on a photograph of Mount Lu's Immortal's Cave taken by 李进, Jiang Qing's pen name): 暮色苍茫看劲松, 乱云飞渡仍从容. 天生一个仙人洞, 无限风光在险峰 (In the vast dusk I gaze on sturdy pines; the tangled clouds rush past, yet they stand composed. Nature made this Immortal's Cave, the boundless view lies on the perilous peak). The poem is often quoted as an image of staying calm and firm in hard times.
usage
Pairs with 乱云飞渡仍从容 (the tangled clouds sweep past, yet it stands composed). Together the couplet is one of Mao's most anthologized. 劲 is read jìng here (meaning 'strong, sturdy'), not jìn.
