Tips

usage
In the 高腔 styles descended from 弋阳腔, a chorus offstage takes up the end of the singer's line, and 帮腔 names both the chorus and its singing. From there it came to mean speaking up on someone's side, usually as 替 or 给 someone 帮腔.
