The four are 端砚 from Zhaoqing in Guangdong, 歙砚 from Anhui, 洮砚 from Gansu, and 澄泥砚, which is fired from fine river clay rather than cut from stone. The inkstone is one of the 文房四宝, the Four Treasures of the Study.
