Cantonese only, the spoken counterpart of Mandarin 们. Attach it to a pronoun to make it plural: 我 (ngo⁵) 'I' becomes 我哋 (ngo⁵ dei⁶) 'we', 佢 (keoi⁵) 'he/she' becomes 佢哋 (keoi⁵ dei⁶) 'they'. The Mandarin reading dì is almost never used in speech.
The mouth radical 口 marks this as a spoken-language particle - a common job for the mouth radical, which flags sounds, speech words, and colloquial grammar markers.
Provides the sound. Standalone 地 ('earth') here lends only its pronunciation; the mouth radical was added in front to coin a purely grammatical spoken particle.
No stroke data for 哋; the glyph shown is your device font, so component strokes can't be highlighted.
