The pen name reads 'Third Uncle of the Southern School'. In his novels tomb robbers belong to a southern or a northern school, and the narrator's family are southerners; 三叔, 'third uncle', is also what the narrator calls his uncle 吴三省, the tomb robber who first draws him in. His real name is 徐磊.
culture
He began posting 《盗墓笔记》 online in 2006. Its fans call themselves 稻米, 'rice', a pun on 盗迷, 'tomb-raiding fans', and treat 17 August, the date of a promised reunion in the story, as their own festival.
