From 齐己's 《早梅》 'Early Plum'. His first version had 数枝开 'several branches bloomed'; the poet 郑谷 pointed out that several branches in bloom were not early, and suggested 一枝 'one branch'. Qiji bowed to him as his 一字之师 'one-character teacher'.
