history
That passage, in Book 11 of the 论语, is a standard high-school text. Three disciples talk of governing states; 曾皙 only wants to bathe in the 沂 River in late spring and come home singing, and 孔子 sighs that he agrees with him.
register
Classical only: 侍 "to wait on" + 坐 "to sit". Modern Chinese would say 陪坐 (to keep someone company).
