usage

As a suffix 二代 names children who inherit their parents' status: 富二代 'rich kids', 官二代 'officials' children', 网二代 'children of internet celebrities'. The ironic 穷二代 is the children of the poor. Said alone, 二代 means one of these groups or a product's second generation.
