history
The two "bombs" first meant the atomic bomb and the missile, later the nuclear bomb (atomic and hydrogen) and the missile; the "satellite" is China's first, launched in 1970. The key tests came in 1964 (atomic bomb), 1966 (nuclear missile) and 1967 (hydrogen bomb). In 1999, 23 scientists were honored with the Two Bombs, One Satellite medal.
