The reign gives its name to 《万历十五年》 (1587, a Year of No Significance) by the historian 黄仁宇, and to 《万历野获编》, late-Ming notes on court and society. The emperor's tomb, 定陵, is the only one of the Ming Tombs that has been excavated.
